O fundacji

Our mission

he Foundation for Contemporary Art initiates, supports, and conducts activities aimed at exchanging experiences between various fields of art and social life

It operates on the principle of cooperation with institutions, organizations, and people in the cultural sector, thereby forming a network of relationships and a continuous flow of knowledge and inspiration. This leads to the creation of initiatives:

The Foundation for Contemporary Art carries out projects in two intertwining streams: educational and artistic.

As part of the educational stream, we organize theater, vocal, and movement workshops for both youth and adults. These workshops not only teach specific artistic forms but also aim to stimulate creativity, broaden expression, and enhance communication skills and teamwork. The workshops continually evolve in response to current social needs and the development of educators' competencies. Recently, the foundation has been working on including individuals at risk of social exclusion in its activities.

Within the artistic stream, the foundation supports projects in the fields of performance and media art. A particular focus is placed on activities that continue the exploration initiated by Jerzy Grotowski – centered around physical-vocal expression, self-work, inner processes, knowledge, and a strong emphasis on the relationship with the audience. Inspired by these ideas as well as social activism, group processes, and contemporary forms of expression, several artistic collectives have already formed around the foundation.

All activities of the Foundation for Contemporary Art align with values such as equality, openness, respect, tolerance, and multiculturalism.
